- Baby ‘Roo slings are made so the stitching above the rings sits right on the top of your shoulder. This helps with proper ring placement. The edges of the sling are referred to as the ‘rails’. The body is the wide fabric that creates the pocket for your baby to ride in.
- Although there are many different positions you can use with your baby, they all start off in the same way. Threading the sling is simple to do and can be done in a few seconds once you’ve had a bit of practice. Begin by placing the sling on the shoulder you are going to wear it on. Baby ‘Roo slings open out, this is important for weight distribution and security. Reach around and bring the sling around to your front.
- Find both rails (edges) and put them together evenly. Make sure the sling is spread out across your back.
- Make sure the sling is spread out across your back.
- Accordion the tail of the sling and put through both rings. Pull the fabric through until it is snug on your body.
- Take the fabric and weed it through just the bottom ring.
- Make sure the rails are together and facing your body.
- Make sure you have a secure pouch made for your baby. The fabric should be snug against your body with the outside fabric a little looser to allow the baby to fit.
- Hold your baby in the burp position and carefully slide him down into the pouch you have created. Tighten rings so they are snug. You can adjust both rails to make sure he is secure and the sling is comfortable for you and him.
